I normally don’t do this, but please allow me to brag a little. Exactly a year and a half ago today, on my 55th birthday, I set a goal of losing one pound for each year of my age. I stepped on the bathroom scale and it told me I weighed 225.0 pounds. By this time, I had already lost about 15 pounds, but it wasn’t happening as quickly as I would have liked. Time to get serious! I increased my walking from 4 to 6 miles per day and stopped eating most of the junk!
Today, that same scale says I weigh 170.0 pounds. Goal achieved! This also brings me back to my low weight from when I lived in Florida and was half the age I am now. Needless to say, I feel a lot better, too. Life is good!
