Once upon a time, before Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, people would post items for sale at their local grocery store. You’d write out the information on an index card and include your phone number. Most supermarkets had large bulletin boards near the entrance where you could thumbtack your card free of charge.
Flashback to 1990: Due to many months of being on the unemployed disc-jockey budget plan, I was broke and needed money to finance my move back to Bend, Oregon. I decided to sell some of my worldly possessions in order to raise cash.
