Wnen did they close the old Cedar Avenue bridge to walkers and bikers? I hiked down the hill this morning, ready to walk from Bloomington into Eagan. When I reached the bottom, a new sign greeted me: “THIS BRIDGE CLOSED PERMANENTLY BY ORDER OF STATE OF MINNESOTA.”
The reason given was because it’s structural integrity is now in question. Oh, yeah. I can definitely understand this, given the fact that this bridge was built nearly 100 years ago.
