I’m in Algona, Iowa this week. As the noon hour approached, I found myself looking around for a place to eat. Pizza is always a great choice, especially during the lunch hours when most pizza places feature all-you-can-eat buffets at a low price. (Drew is cheap! It’s who he is!)
Algona does not disappoint in this department. I found 3 chain pizza restaurants, all of which offered a buffet option. Pizza Hut is located further south on US Highway 169. But look what we have near Algona’s big intersection of highways 169 and 18: Godfather’s Pizza and Pizza Ranch, literally within a few feet of each other! Pizza Ranch’s sign is almost closer to Godfather’s than it is to their own store! Mercy sakes, good buddy, looks like we got us a PIZZA WAR!
