The Park Theater in downtown Park Rapids, Minnesota. Built in 1939, this movie theater has become an historic landmark for the area. It’s still going strong today, as you can see on the marquee. Conveniently located right next door to Cuzzin’s Candy Store.
I remember being about 5 years old at our cabin on Lower Bottle Lake. Grandpa said to me “Let’s go into town and see a show!” So, off we went to the Park. Which movie did we see? “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” with Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes.
