I was walking through Eagan, Minnesota today, minding my own business…when suddenly, what should appear on the curb but a beautiful antique console stereo! This was one of those times when I wished I had a bigger storage unit!
It kills me that someone would throw this out. It appears to be in great shape. Even if it no longer works, it would make a great conversation piece. The radio receivers in these units are typically very sensitive and produce high quality audio on both AM and FM.
As my friend Kristine used to say, “They don’t make stereos that look like furniture anymore.” Actually, the quote was “They don’t make TVs that look like furniture anymore.” Close enough. Hopefully, someone will rescue this gem and give it a new home before the rain begins to fall.
